Something Fun… For Everyone!
You need to be here to ring in the New Year! This New Year’s Eve, there’s no better place to be than in Downtown Midland! It’s Midnight on Main, but the party begins long before midnight with a schedule full of activities for all ages. From cool ice sculptures to hot pancake breakfasts and from an all-day entertainment stage to the exciting countdown and Ball Drop at midnight, you’ll end the year on a high note and welcome the New Year in style! The tentative line up is:
Children’s Activities
3 – 7 p.m.
Midnight on Main is a great way to celebrate the New Year with your family. Starting at 3 p.m., you can bring your children downtown, where they can explore the wonders of Downtown Midland with an event filled evening! We’ll keep the whole family entertained with live entertainment, caricature drawings, fun crafts and games and more all centered on celebrating NYE with the family. And, they won’t miss out on the excitement of the night – we’ll do a special LIGHTING of the ball drop just for the children at 7 p.m.!
Teen Activities
5 – 9 p.m.
You can celebrate the New Year in Downtown Midland’s newest coffeehouse, Journeys, and enjoy Live Music, Karaoke, Board Games, Shuffle Board, Cornhole, Hot Cocoa, Coffee and more! Bring your friends and make this New Year’s Eve an event to remember! Please Note: supervised activities for teens do end at 9pm.
Adult Activities
8 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Get ready to party like it’s 1999! Adult activities kick off at 8 p.m. in Downtown Midland and will go strong until 12:30 a.m. Enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the night, mingle in the beer and wine party tents (along with the 94.5 the Moose Brew Tent), hang out in Mix 106.3 Ice Lounge located in the Courtyard at the H Hotel, take a photo with a 6ft ice Polar Bear, and then ring in the New Year with the countdown and Ball Drop followed by an exciting fireworks display – viewed right from Main Street at midnight!
Resolution Run
Join the Midland Jaycees in getting a jump on your New Year’s resolution! The Midland Resolution 5K Run/Walk will be held at 2pm on December 31, 2012, in the streets of Downtown Midland.
Diamonds of White Softball Tournament
